I didn't hear much about 'Charlie St. Cloud' when it originally came out in 2010. I've since learned that it didn't make very much money and was panned pretty badly by critics. I don't really know how this got into my watch list, but it is what it is.

It's a really sad tale about a loving big brother losing his brother in a car accident and then spending the next 5 years working at the cemetery that he's buried at. It's pretty dark stuff and not at all what I expected.

I think Zac Efron held his own pretty well for a guy who has crazy depression but still takes the time to perfectly quaff his hair every morning. The rest of the cast is pretty forgettable. Kim Basinger is completely wasted here.

On a side note, what self-respecting man allows people to call him 'Tink' as a nickname? Honestly. I can see all the complaints that people had with this movie. The pacing is all weird, the acting is a bit stiff from everybody, the many super cheesy parts, and a lot of stuff ripped from 'The 6th Sense'.

They do have a point; it's not at all a great film or anything. It's pretty depressing all around and if you're not ready for it, it'll smack you right in the tear ducts. People are dying left and right in this thing.

Some of the stuff at the very end was pretty good. I'll give it that. Had a pretty good statement about how nobody gets to see what could've been. I guess if you want to be depressed for an hour and half and for some reason don't have access to many FAR better depressing movies, then this is your flick.
