Efron gave the best performance he could give. Which happened to be a sad misfire of catching audiences' curiosity. Zac along with a film that was desperately trying to be something it's not was a shipwreck.
A wannabe-teen fusion of "Sixth Sense" and any Nicholas Sparks movie.
