Review of Charlie Bartlett (2008) by Alan K — 01 Mar 2009
Playful subversion of the high school flick. Sure, all the stereotypes and John Hughes angst is there, but the script is smart and the performances are great. Plus. Robert Downey Jr. as the principal, the rare adult in these kind of movies who musters any sort of sympathy or understanding.
