Review of Charlie Bartlett (2008) by Adam D — 29 Jun 2009
A highly intriguing and enjoyable teen comedy for todays youth. anton yelchin is slowly becoming one of my favorite actors in Hollywood. we see robert downy jr. give a performance that you dont often see him take, which is good.
not only that but it seems too mirror his own life also, which is also quite interesting. its nice to see a teen movie that dosent necessarily take allot from teen movies of old, but dosent go down the standard modern route either.
its perhaps a sign that my favorite genre of movie has been re injected with life, after all it came out the same year as Juno and superbad. it's a well shot film with a good message. my only fault if any, is that it has a highly intrusive soundtrack.
other than that I strongly recommend this quirky and underrated teen comedy.
