Review of Charlie Bartlett (2008) by Mea H — 03 Nov 2009
Engaging, enlightening, heart-warming, and sincere. In this movie, Anton Yelchin reminds me of a Ferris Beuller type kid with that angst and rule-breaking attitude. Kate Dennings kind of stole the show for me, she was charming, endearing, and pretty sophisticated for her age.
This movie is all about teen angst, misunderstood kids, and drugs, lots of em'. While the film may be too cliche for some, or maybe its just the tired genre getting to you, it still has many good performances from Robert Downey, Yelchin, and Dennings.
Overall I little piece of originality and spark that leaps of the screen.
