Review of Charlie Bartlett (2008) by Susan P — 30 Mar 2010
Movie has a funny concept - private school kid who spends a lot of time on a shrink's couch ends up in private school, where he becomes a shrink to his peers to gain popularity. He also dispenses medications! Robert Downey Jr.
is the principal and the kid is the dude who plays Spock in the new Star Trek. It's sort of a cross between Pump Up The Volume and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. A film with a message of teen angst that has gone ignored or medicated.
I think a younger audience might like it more, but I enjoyed it enough.
