Review of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) by Michael B — 10 Jan 2014
In spite of Johnny Depp channeling Michael Jackson with his performance as Willy Wonka, Tim Burton has created another wonderfully entertaining picture that is visually phenomenal and expectedly absurd.
I also found it refreshing to see that the film remains very faithful to Roald Dahl's fantastic story, unlike the 70s adaption (which also has its own charming merits).
