Johnny Depp trades in the beard, the swag, and the rum for a pasty complexion, a creepy hairstyle, and... actually, he's probably still drunk. The film has its good intentions laid out neatly on the production line but due to an improper mixing of the ingredients, the resulting experience is always either too bitter, or much too sweet.
