Badly underrated, if you ask me: some of the CGI is a little questionable, but for the most part the visuals are a delight and the script strong. The oompa-loompa songs are very enjoyable and catchy, and this is a worthwhile update.
Why Johnny Depp chose to channel Michael Jackson for his role is a bit beyond me, but the net result is a success.
