Review of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) by Brooks B — 18 Apr 2014

It's much better than the 1971 version because it is stranger, more entertaining, and the depiction of the characters are more satisfying. Johnny Depp fit his role perfectly, but there are definitely some flaws in the movie.

For example, you never know how certain things happen. Normally someone would tell you if a piece of their gum turns you blue. Anyway, this movie isn't terrible, but it's far from great.
