Review of Chariots of Fire (1981) by Lucas Y — 31 Dec 2008
Very smart and thought provoking film with a very good performance by Ian Holm. There is definitely beauty to this film, but altogether I wouldn't watch it again if you paid me to. It's painfully slow and boring with very few rewarding scenes and by FAR the worst movie I've ever seen to win Best Picture, worse than The English Patient and Chicago.
