Review of Chariots of Fire (1981) by Peter B — 17 Jan 2010
Its an okay enough film but if am really honest its a bit too twee and inoffensive for my liking. Not that it should be any different ofcourse, I can completely see why its seen by many as a classic, but personally I wouldnt rush to see it again.
Cool runnings on the other hand, a film that shares a similar theme of finding yourself through a journey of sporting achievement, now theres a film I will watch over and over until the end of time. Thay may not say much bout me but heck thats how I roll.
Apart from the great opening which is down to the classic theme by vangelis I found little to make me really care. By jove all the posh voices dont help really.
