The openign scene of the athletes running on the beach with the awesome BGM by Vangelis just sets it up. And it remains on of my personal favorites, not just for it's sporting background, but about how the Olympics means different things to different people.
The issue of faith, discrimination and humanity is wonderfully addressed.
