Review of Chariots of Fire (1981) by Cort J — 14 Mar 2011
I quite enjoyed this despite some previous misgivings. Exploring the initial background of the two main runners is intriguing to say the least. It manages to touch ever so slightly on the upper class system of the 20's and indeed the anti-semitism,but not so much as to detract from main story line.
I did feel that the Olympics could've been covered better, it seemed to lack any suspense or real drama as the races unfolded. Despite this a rather enjoyable film.
