I imagine this film was brilliant when it was originally released. I never knew until now that it was based on true events of Abrahams and Liddell who actually did win Gold at the 1924 Olympics in Paris.
The music by Vangelis is the best thing. Cant believe its taken me 30 years to see this film tho, glad i've seen it but doubt i'll watch it again.
