Review of Charade (1963) by Akshay S — 31 May 2008
One portion suspense, one portion comedy, one portion romance. Thats what the trailer said and I think that sums up this movie. A completely fun roller-coaster ride from start to stop peppered with quirky characters and the ever so lovely Audrey Hepburn.
Riveting right through, the movie had me guessing right until the end. The chemistry between Grant and Hepburn is a treat. Rib-tickling dialogue's and competent acting add a nice flavor to the movie.
The plot is not the tightest but its absorbing all the same. The sound-score is feverish, mischievous and sets the tone perfectly . Perhaps not a classic but definitely not one to be missed simply for the pure enjoyment of it.
