Review of Charade (1963) by Adam B — 23 Jul 2008
A delightfully tounge-in-cheek 60s thriller, with everything you could possibly wish for. Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn are brilliant, and the dialouge pithy and effortlessly cool. The story is simple, the characters are over the top and the tone is perfect, feeling like a vintage Bond film while that franchise was in it's mere infancy.
The twists are frequent, but constantly surprising and the charm is enough to make anyone thoroughly glad they have spent 2 hours watching this...they dont make them like this any more, and that's a real shame.
