Review of Charade (1963) by Lauren L — 02 Jun 2009
A solid 4/5 stars. Manages to be really whimsical yet suspenseful with much wit and funny moments tossed in. You'd think it was a Hitchcock film but it wasn't and if anything is a great addition to Hitchcockian films as it's very enjoyable.
The dialogue and chemistry between Grant and Hepburn is entertaining to say the least despite the age difference. This was actually the first Hepburn film (I think Grant also, possibly) that I ever viewed, at 3-6 in the morning at that thanks to AMC and I'm glad I caught it.
