Review of Charade (1963) by Heather M — 14 Jun 2009
Stanley Donen's stylish thriller "Charade" places a lighthearted romance amidst a murderous caper for stolen money. Peter Stone's script carefully balances the character arcs with the elaborate web of lies and deceit, keeping the story paced with wit and alacrity.
The always-stunning Audrey Hepburn works well with the well-aged Cary Grant, even if things sometimes get a bit too frivolous for the film's own good.
