Review of Charade (1963) by A C — 07 Nov 2009
After watching Charade, I just confirm my nostalgia for the old Hollywood and/or the old way of doing films. Why can't they do something fun and classy like they used to? There are exceptions nowadays for sure, but how many actresses can beat the beauty, class, charisma and talent of Audrey Hepburn? Nicole Kidman? Cate Blanchett? Yes, probably; as for the great Cary Grant, I am totally aware of why Geroge Clooney has been called the new Grant; they do have the same class, style and sense of humor for sure.
This film is full of puzzles and full of style, great Direction and an amazing cast. Just perfection.
