Review of Charade (1963) by Charles L — 14 May 2010
Likely Donen's most complete film, and the most successful, commercially, of his solo efforts. Mattau steals almost every scene he is in, and it cannot be easy to steal a scene from Audrey Hepburn.
Coburn's G-rated cussing is a cinematic artifact, and a hoot to boot. Grant's last stand as romantic lead, and he's still got it! Got to see it on the big screen in both 1963 and 2010.
