Review of Charade (1963) by Adam V — 08 Nov 2010
Highly entertaining 60s caper with Audrey Hepburn as a widow pursued by thugs for her inheritance, and a con-man who she falls for. Witty and engaging, the story pretty much kept me guessing up until the very end.
I see where one would make comparisons to Hitchcock, although, I didn't sense the suspense really manifesting until the film's third act. Both Hepburn and Grant have great chemistry though, and the punchy script keeps things interesting.
Certainly kept my attention longer than many older movies tend to.
