Review of Charade (1963) by Mark H — 05 Jul 2011
It has a very promising start, but never completes my expectations. It tries to be a comedy, mystery, suspence, and a thriller all at the same time, and doesnt work. It kind of rubs off as a one legged crime story/comedy.
With those negitive aspects said, it's not all that bad. I always like to see Cary Grant on screen, and it does feel like a Hitchcock film at times. Charade isn't good, but isn't bad either.
I left with a mixed feeling about it, and that's how it stays.
