Review of Chapter 27 (2007) by Chad S — 03 Jul 2008
There was no point in making this movie. I didn't really much care about Mark David Chapman, because he gave us nothing to care about. He was a confused and overweight psycho, who had two choices, 1)kill John Lennon; 2) Don't kill John Lennon, then the movie will end.
I appreciated the effort in trying to tie this lost weekend into The Catcher in the Rye novel, but there is really no need to add a chapter 27 to the book, just like there was no need for this movie. I do have to say I admire Jared Leto's method acting of putting on 60 pounds, for some reason he believed he had to make himself unattractive and uncomfortable, for a movie that is unrecognized.
