Review of Chapter 27 (2007) by Ryan R — 27 Aug 2008
A see-saw of a film. It's up then it's down, and that's all I can say. While it's interesting, it seems to take twice as long as its actually running time. Jared Leto commits 110% to the role, but the end result still isn't half as good as what a good actor could have done.
Lindsay Lohan (like always) gives a good (and underrated) performance, but she doesn't have a lot to work with in her, oh, 15 minutes on screen. The whole thing leads to a death we obviously know is coming, but it doesn't surprise us at all in any sense.
I honestly don't know.
