Review of Chappie (2015) by Codyeff — 16 Mar 2015
Went in to Chappie thinking it would go one way and it ended up going a completely different direction. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I enjoyed this movie a lot and fell in love with Chappie. Thematically, it is a very strong movie. It touches on struggles with mortality and the balance of good and bad just to name a couple. The science fiction in this movie is very interesting.
My only gripe was that some of the characters in the movie were very abrasive and tough to deal with. Ninja especially. The movie tends to bounce around a lot and leaves minor plot questions.
Well worth seeing though. I have yet to be disappointed by Neill Blomkamp.
