Review of Chappie (2015) by The_Hamur — 03 May 2015
One of those movies that can get incredibly right some parts, a perfect 10, and screws so badly other themes and scenes that make you cringe in disbelief, "wtf have I watched?". My score could not be other than 5.
The movie has Blomkamp signature: fast yet clever, good characters with enough development, that forces you to ride with the movie to get the whole scenario, and this was incredibly awesome. I think this was the first movie this year I cared about the characters, "good and evil", if there are any.
But at the same time it gets so cheesy and vain that you can't believe it's the same movie.
