Review of Chappie (2015) by Jim S — 31 Dec 2015
Chappie is often visually great and it explores big ideas on the nature of consciousness. However it doesn't explore them nearly as well as several other movies. Chappie feels too much like a mix of elements from better movies past and its performances often are only passable but not spectacular until an ending that is downright silly.
