Review of Chappie (2015) by Jamie C — 29 Jul 2016

After the success of District 9 and the underrated Elysium Blomkamp makes a third straight sci fi film and it's just as good as you think it would be, Ignore the critics the picky twats don't care about any movie that hasn't got Oscar potential now days, The story was kind of robbed from Short Circuit but it's nothing like it, The effects were amazing and some of the best i've seen, The human cast wasn't great with some wooden acting, There's not as much action or blood as you might think but it's in there, With a Blomkamp film we never get an ending we expect and Chappie is no different, Plus there's some funny humour thrown in to make the slow bits go by easier, At the end of the day it's not as good as District 9 but I don't think he will ever top that film but it is slightly better than Elysium so if you enjoyed those films you will enjoy this one too.
