I am a big Die Antwoord fan and was interested in the film because of them. After watching the film I can't even imagine what it would have been like to watch it not knowing their back story. The entire 'world' as been created around the two singers, including everything from the music and the artwork on the walls to the clothes they are wearing.

To be honest reading the negative reviews I have often stopped, shook my head and though wow people just didn't get it. There in potentially lies the movie's biggest problem. Majority of the people who watch the movie can't appreciate the references in it.
