Saw this film on Friday and if anything they cut Teddy a lot of slack. C'mon people, six married men with six young, attractive females on regatta weekend at the Cape? Wives and kids left at home for the "cookout"? Ted lied through his teeth repeatedly.

He wasn't driving Ms. Kopechne back to her hotel. Her keys and purse were back at the cottage. He tried to get Joe Gargan to say he'd been driving. He refused. He then wanted them to say Mary Jo took the car and was by herself.

Gargan refused to go along with that also. Teddy was slime. That poor girl was waitng for a rescue that was denied her by someone she cared about. Truly sad.
