Review of Chaplin (1992) by Matt J — 21 Nov 2008
A well made bio-pic with Robert Downey Jr.'s performance at the center. Although Downey Jr. isn't the only reason to see the film; it's also filled with some great period production values, an Oscar-nominated score, and some beautiful cinematography.
Chaplin's story never ceases to be interesting or entertaining, even when Attenborough seems more interested in playing on our emotions with sentimental (if emotionally effective) tear-jerker moments.
