Review of Chaplin (1992) by Justin L — 30 Jan 2009
Director Richard Attenborough did a fair and sincere portrait of Chaplin. He did not go overboard to show how talented Chaplin was or how low his life got because of multiple reasons. He just let the images speak just like Chaplin did with his films!
Young Robert Downey Jr. really embraced his character to the end. He did not let down the Chaplin in himself. In other words, Downey was simply Chaplin!
And thats how memorable his portrayal of the genius Chaplin was!
