Review of Chaplin (1992) by Daniel W — 05 Jun 2010
A wonderful tribute to an icon and a fascinating life. It's got a stunning cast which always helps, but the true testament is the skill of Attenborough's direction. He builds up emotion throughout in such a way that it sneaks up on you unconsciously so that by the film's end, you suddenly find there are tears in your eyes.
It's worth reiterating; wonderful.
