Review of Chaplin (1992) by Daniel L — 02 Aug 2009
Sober and well-made bio-pic of one more of the geniuses of cinema. Though Robert Downey Jr. is extraordinaire as Chaplin and supporting him is a great ensemble cast, "Chaplin" fails to capture the pure essence of Charlie Chaplin, wich is primarly what this movie was up to.
Also, Chaplin probably deserves a better bio-pic and this one is just above forgettable.
