Review of Chaplin (1992) by Emmylou A — 24 Oct 2009
It was a very long film but for the amount of time it covered, it felt very short. Time was very lightly spent on topics and it felt almost like a cinematic sparknotes version of Chaplin's life. However, the performances certainly outweigh the rushed feel to the storyline and earn the rating.
By far the most noticeable performance came from Robert Downey JR as the lead, but it was sprinkled with so many well known faces with so many lively performances, that you can't give him all the credit.
Most, perhaps, but not all.
