Review of Chaplin (1992) by Tommy D — 16 Jan 2011
Positives:
The acting is great. I love the story. You can see how Charlie Chaplin not only enjoyed entertaining, but also how his fame slowly began to destroy him. They even showed the historical events, such as the depression, WWII, The McCarthy era.
Negatives:
The story is rushed in some parts (but, if you pay attention, it's supposed to be), and in between scenes there is this annoying little transition (it just personally annoys me, but I began to not notice it).
Overall, it's okay. 6/10, it's worth seeing if you want to see good acting, or if you want to learn more about Charlie Chaplin, but it's not the best biopic out there.
