Review of Chaos Theory (2008) by Rebecca H — 06 Jul 2008

I can't tell you what draw's me to these Ryan Reynolds movies. I really can't. He's somehow cornered the market for this sort of affair, the stories of things that have happened with a modern twist to it all. I'm not saying he's mastered it. Just corrnered it.
Once again this sails along smoothly, working because he's a solid lead in a solid story, but never really reaching beyond it's limitations at all.
It's another one of those great idea's on paper, but somewhere along the line it loses it, but for Chaos Theory i'll give it it's due and say that it still manages to just about hold on it it for the most part.
Kudos to reynolds, he could be doing the big acton flicks or the Rom com's and doing this stuff with his eye's closed, but he's going for characters, and while they are all sort of the same, he's using it to progress himself and frankly I can't diss him for it.
An easy way to spend an evening, but not exactly a classic .
