Review of Chaos Theory (2008) by Beth P — 19 Jul 2008
Just as order inevitably gives way to chaos, rationality gives way to irrationality. This true-to-life lesson is a central idea of this film, but also the only way to explain why I watched it all the way to the end.
In all fairness, this is merely a mediocre, two-and-a-half or three star movie. However, it managed to hit every single wrong nerve I have about movies. Irrational characters, a plot based on misunderstandings that could have easily and more intriguingly been resolved, crappy use of music, and pandering to the audience, my god the pandering. What was funny was really funny, but too far and few between for me to ever recommend this movie to anyone that I didn't already know to have low low standards.
