Review of Changing Lanes (2002) by Joseph E — 23 May 2010
A fast paced, yet deeply tradgic and bleak begining for our dramatic stars.
One is a selfish, pretty boy lawyer, and the other is a recorving alcaholic father, desperately trying tro get his ex-wife from moving with his sons. On this day, they meet, and thier lives a drasticly changed forever.
Directed by someone who knows Drama, Affleck and Jackson turn in terrific performances in this highly entertaining drama. Amanda Peet is okay, if at modest, not up to par with the rest of the cast, and Sydney Pollack and Willam Hurt are sensational!
It starts out, slow, dragging along, in a saddening pace, but then after that climatic life changing altercation, things really start to pick up, and puts the pedal to the metal, figuratively speaking!
This film offers much acton, and it's a totally stroy driven-charchter based drama. When you think of daringly original, blazing distinct and special films, you will think of Changing Lanes!
