Review of Changeling (2008) by Jason R — 09 Nov 2010
Terrific film. Angelina Jolie is phenomenal as Christine Collins, a single mother whose only son, Walter, vanishes without a trace. Four months later the notorious LAPD claim they've found him safe and sound, but the moment she sets eyes on him, she instantly realizes that this isn't her son.
What ensues is a crazy, emotional, corrupt ride as Christine tries to fight her way to the truth with the help of an awesome minister (played by the soft-voiced John Malkovich). The fact that something like this happened in real life is just astonishing to me.
The fact that this woman remained so strong when her allies were initially so few is equally remarkable. The movie is pretty long but it keeps you riveted the entire time. It's definitely worth a watch.
Do not mess with a woman on a mission.
