Review of Changeling (2008) by Sierra V — 11 Nov 2012
A very emotionally intense and heavy film, if it doesn't make you infuriated I don't know what does. Between the atrocious murders of boys and disgusting acts of the serial killer or the misconduct and cover ups of the lapd.
It makes me disgusted how victimized this woman and mother became. The lapd made a huge mistake by screwing with the wrong person this time-a mom. While I'm horrified that this happened to her, I'm glad her injustices brought down these mock authority figures.
This movie was better than I thought it would be and Jolie did pretty good in this movie. The movie had a lot more going on in it than I thought it would. Good directing, good acting, good staging of the 20's, and I loved how it all came together.
Guys and girls will like this movie and I'm glad it focused on the good her son did in the end. Proves eastwood can again do a good job, but I do think this movie is just a hair short of what could've been a masterpiece.
Nonetheless what a fascinating story and tale of fighting back. I'm glad I wasn't alive back then bc I hate how women were treated back then.
