Very involving and emotional. It's a really terrific story that paints the protagonist as a hero overcoming great adversity and the antagonists as cowardly egotists. This makes for an engaging, satisfying story, but it lacks sophistication.

And I doubt that the true story was as black and white as this film suggests. That being said, it is a good story, it looks magnificent, and the acting was terrific.
