Just OK, teetering precariously on the edge of hysterical melodrama. I was never bored, but never terribly involved either, because it seemed like everyone but Malkovich was acting. I was always conscious of their affectations.
None of it really felt real. (Again, except for Malkovich.) Jolie is occasionally convincing and occasionally not, but she isn't done very many favors by the script, which is pretty bad and filled with a lot of eye-roll inducing Hollywoodisms.
