Review of Changeling (2008) by Nikhil M — 06 Feb 2013

I got a big (and pleasant) surprise watching this film; perhaps it is my dislike for Miss Jolie in general that put me off watching this but thank God I did... what a film. Beautifully directed by Eastwood the period is captured perfectly, and the cast is strong - all providing emotional and believable performances. My one niggling criticism of this film is in the opening titles - a true story appears on the screen- well maybe Eastwood should have gone with 'based on a true story' as some of the facts have been changed/ ommitted from the real life case.

Apart from that I was completely engrossed in this story, the injustice and heart breaking insanity of the whole situation. A good drinking game would be to have a shot every time Jolie screams 'he is not my son!" You'd get pretty smashed by the end :).

Definitely worth checking out, kept me hooked til the end.
