Set in Los Angeles 1928, working-class Christine Collins played by Angelina Jolie said goodbye to her son Walter played by Gattlin Griffith and left for work. When she came home, she discovered he had vanished and she went out of the house to search for for months.

Later on, a boy claimed to be Walter is taken back to the house but when she finds out that he is a changeling, they return him back. Knowing in her heart the real Walter is out there somewhere, she pushes authorities to keep looking but since it is the Prohibition-era in L.

A., women don't challenge the system. She fights the city to find her missing son with the help of an ally in activist Reverend Gustav Briegleb played by John Malkovich who is also looking for his missing son.

I remember watching this movie a long time ago and I was amazed at how dark this movie was. Sometimes it can be difficult for a parent to lose their child and they search the world for them. But in other lives especially nowadays, it is different.

Parents tend to not care about their children's lives and laugh in their faces thinking their dreams will never come true which is what causes them to run away in the first place. Changeling gets a 10/10.
