Review of Chang: A Drama of the Wilderness (1927) by Kirk E — 16 Feb 2011
Entertaining slice of jungle life is noteworthy for the original Kong team's breathtaking photography of the natural enviroment of Siam, rangingfrom tigers to 'changs'; aka elephants. Standout scequences include the tiger hunt and the rescue of the baby elephant by its mother by wrecking the Siamese house (with cute albino ape, Bimboo inside who is then chased by leopards!) Its no Swiss Family Robinson, but its sure to entertain and facinate as a still successful artifact of its time.
