Review of Chalet Girl (2011) by Monzi S — 23 May 2011
Chalet Girl is a "nice" film, but its nothing you haven't seen before. Its pretty much a predictable teen flick about an ordinary girl who gets with the guy of her dreams who sweeps her off her feet. You know that from the start. It's watchable and has some funny and touching moments, but for me it played it safe and lacked originality. Don't get me wrong, it is a likeable film, but its hardly a groundbreaking classic. Felicity Jones (she kind of reminded me of an English Juno)and Ed Westwick are likeable and have good chemistry though. Decent film, but it didn't blow me away.
