Was it a masterpiece, no... Was it interesting, yes! I don't think this deserves the negative response its received, yes in some parts it was a little mediocre but the story was quite intriguing. It was an attempt to give a slasher film a new story rather than a complete rehash of old killers, but I do agree that it wasn't approached in the right manner.
