Review of Centurion (2010) by Stanley C — 07 Dec 2010
Briskly paced, action-packed, but lacking a script and true reason for existing. It looks gorgeous, and the actors/storyline aren't half bad, but the dialogue is wretched and I found myself not caring and wondering when people would kick ass some more. The action scenes are here and wonderful. Neil Marshall knows how to stage a good battle.
If he spent as much time on the script of his films as he does the post-production gore, he could have a bonafide classic. I'll keep watching, as his films are getting better post-The Descent.
Overall, a step better than the atrocious Doomsday.
